50th logo 30th Nov 2009 Spirit of Churchill invoked at Cabinet War Rooms as the College launches its 50th Anniversary Celebrations and Appeal
The Cabinet War Rooms will be the scene of a Churchill campaign launch once again this evening - as the Cambridge University College bearing his name officially unveils its £12million fundraising appeal and celebrations.
The Lady Soames plants a mulberry tree 17th Oct 2009 The Lady Soames plants a tree for the 50th Anniversary
On Saturday 17th October, the Lady Soames, Winston Churchill's last living daughter, visited the College 50 years ago to the day that Sir Winston visited the site which would be Churchill College. The Lady Soames at the young age of 87, planted a Mulberry tree in the shadow of her Father's oak on the Jock Colville Lawn.
THe Hepworth Returns 16th Oct 2009 The Heporth returns from its vacation
The monumental sculpture by Dame Barbara Hepworth, "Four Square Walk Through" which stands between the college buildings and the playing fields in Churchill College was dismantled and carried off on the 20th August.
31st Jul 2009 50th Anniversary Programme of Events now available!
A full list of events commemorating the 50th Anniversary of Churchill College are now available in the 'Calendar' section. We hope that Alumni and Past Fellows will be able to join us in our celebrations.
29th Apr 2009 First Churchill Open Gardens - a great success!
The first Churchill Open Gardens took place last weekend and saw over 170 members of the public visit the College. Don't miss the second event
in July!
