The College is sorry to anounce the death of Professor Daphne Osborne (Past Fellow)
Alumni: 16 Jun 2006 12:22Daphne Osborne, the first woman elected to Fellowship of Churchill College died on June 16.
Daphne Osborne was a distinguished plant scientist. The prickly hedge on both sides of the Porters’ Lodge (Pyracanthus) was given by her in 1972/1973 to deter intruders. An obituary appears in the 2006 issue of the Churchill Review.
