THe Hepworth ReturnsThe monumental sculpture by Dame Barbara Hepworth, "Four Square Walk Through" which stands between the college buildings and the playing fields in Churchill College was dismantled and carried off on the 20th August.

The monumental sculpture by Dame Barbara Hepworth, "Four Square Walk Through" which stands between the college buildings and the playing fields in Churchill College was dismantled and carried off to a leading art foundry on the 20th August in order to remove three metal rods, mistakenly left inside when it was cast 40 years ago, to be checked for any other alien bodies and to be re-waxed as it was originally, complete with polished inner circles. This iconic sculpture was returned and re-assembled on 16th October, looking even more striking than when it departed. The work was funded by The Wolfson Foundation and the College.
